Jacques Picard

2025
Boucherville

Our beloved Jacques Picard passed away on January 20, 2025, at the Maison Source Bleue in Boucherville, surrounded by his family and a kind, attentive care team.

‍

He is survived by his wife, Sylvie Cardinal; his children, Marie-Claire (Jean-Sébastien) and Julien, as well as Florence (Zachary); and his grandchildren, Ophélie and Théo Gabriel.

‍

He also leaves behind his twin brother, Daniel (Diane), as well as many relatives, friends, and colleagues at Hydro-Québec, who will remember him as a man of quiet strength—steady, a good listener, a musician with a great sense of humor, and a remarkable storyteller.

‍

His burial, attended by his immediate family, will take place on Saturday, May 22, 2027, at 2:00 p.m. at the Forêt de la Seconde Vie, located at 835, chemin de l’Achigan Est in Ste-Sophie.

‍

As a symbol of peace and living memory, we will plant a white pine there. This tree will carry Jacques’s presence and grow as a lasting testament to his love and strength.

‍

The Forêt de la Seconde Vie is an eco-friendly forest cemetery set in nature. We invite you to dress and wear footwear appropriate for the weather forecast on the day of the event.

What is the Second Life Forest?

Take root in your lifetime | Second Life Forest

Ecoforest cemetery

The Forest of the Second Life is a Ecoforest cemetery; an alternative solution to traditional funeral homes that allows you to contribute to the creation of forests, in tribute to the memory of your loved ones and for the benefit of future generations.

Unique concept in Quebec

We are up to date The only location in Quebec, among all those who have the necessary authorizations for the burial of the ashes, to have added to our project a forest conservation easement to ensure, forever, the preservation and protection of the forest.

Future generations

Our alternative funeral services allow you to pay tribute to your deceased by allowing them to dedicate their second life to the benefit of the next generations. The reforestation initiative The Second Life Forest makes it possible to capture up to 175 tons of carbon from the atmosphere each year.
