Jocelyn Lavallée

Joliette

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jocelyn Lavallée on September 13, 2026, at the Centre hospitalier régional Lanaudière in Joliette.

He leaves to mourn his partner of the past 35 years, Linda Lévesque, and his beloved daughter Justine Lavallée (Gabriel Thériault). He also leaves behind his brother Pierre (Suzanne Gariepy), his sisters Pierrette and Lorraine (Raymonde Zimmer), his nephews and nieces, as well as many relatives and friends who will remember him as a helpful, reliable, hardworking, protective man entirely devoted to his family.

A time of reflection and sharing of fond memories of Jocelyn, along with the burial of his ashes, will take place on October 4, 2026, between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., at the Forêt de la Seconde Vie located at 835 chemin de l’Achigan Est, in Sainte-Sophie.

On this occasion, the family has chosen to plant a sugar maple tree as a symbol of peace and living memory. This tree will carry Jocelyn’s presence within it and grow as a lasting tribute to his love and strength.

In memory of Jocelyn, those who wish to express their sympathy may make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society to support their mission.

The Forêt de la Seconde Vie is an eco-forest cemetery surrounded by nature; therefore, visitors are encouraged to dress and wear footwear appropriate for the day's forecast.

What is the Second Life Forest?

Take root in your lifetime | Second Life Forest

Ecoforest cemetery

The Forest of the Second Life is a Ecoforest cemetery; an alternative solution to traditional funeral homes that allows you to contribute to the creation of forests, in tribute to the memory of your loved ones and for the benefit of future generations.

Unique concept in Quebec

We are up to date The only location in Quebec, among all those who have the necessary authorizations for the burial of the ashes, to have added to our project a forest conservation easement to ensure, forever, the preservation and protection of the forest.

Future generations

Our alternative funeral services allow you to pay tribute to your deceased by allowing them to dedicate their second life to the benefit of the next generations. The reforestation initiative The Second Life Forest makes it possible to capture up to 175 tons of carbon from the atmosphere each year.
