Saint-Eustache,

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Ms. Ginette Rivest, which occurred at the Sercan Palliative Care Home in Saint-Eustache, on September 24, 2025, at the age of 74.

She is survived by her husband Robert Flynn, her children Martin and Anne-Marie, her children Martin and Anne-Marie, her grandchildren Rosalie, Thomas, Dahlia, Evan and Julia, her sister Diane, her brother Sylvain, her brother Sylvain, her nephews and nieces, her nephews and nieces, her in-laws, and all those who knew and loved her.

To honor his memory and celebrate his life, his family chose to pay tribute to him by rooting a Sargent cherry tree, a symbol of renewal, gentleness and continuity. A warm encounter will allow you to reflect and share memories and thoughts. Through this gesture imbued with serenity, the memory of Ginette Rivest will continue to live through the seasons and the beauty of nature.

The farewell ceremony, which will be held in the open air, will take place on Sunday, October 12 at 11 am at 11 am at the Second Life Forest, located at 835 Achigan East Road, in Sainte-Sophie. A trail walk being planned, we invite those present to dress comfortably and according to the weather.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to encourage donations to the Sercan Foundation, in memory of Ginette Rivest. Donations can be made online at the following link: Donation choice

Your presence, thoughts, and support are deeply appreciated during this difficult time.

What is the Second Life Forest?

Take root in your lifetime | Second Life Forest

Ecoforest cemetery

The Forest of the Second Life is a Ecoforest cemetery; an alternative solution to traditional funeral homes that allows you to contribute to the creation of forests, in tribute to the memory of your loved ones and for the benefit of future generations.

Unique concept in Quebec

We are up to date The only location in Quebec, among all those who have the necessary authorizations for the burial of the ashes, to have added to our project a forest conservation easement to ensure, forever, the preservation and protection of the forest.

Future generations

Our alternative funeral services allow you to pay tribute to your deceased by allowing them to dedicate their second life to the benefit of the next generations. The reforestation initiative The Second Life Forest makes it possible to capture up to 175 tons of carbon from the atmosphere each year.
