It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mr. Reynald Lucien Asselin, on 12 August 2025, at the age of 79.

He is survived by his wife Dora, his son Cédric, (Reynald Jr., Julie, Claude) as well as several other parents and friends who will keep precious memories of him.

The rooting took place in complete privacy on 30 August last year.

Following this meeting, a Ginkgo biloba will be rooted in the memory of Mr. Asselin. A symbol of longevity, peace and resilience, this majestic tree will cross the seasons by carrying the memory of its life and by perpetuating its memory with those around them. In the tranquility of the forest, this gesture becomes a living tribute, where nature is the guardian of its memory.

The Second Life Forest offers a unique place of meditation, where the memory of loved ones is rooted in the heart of nature, reminding us that life continues in the forest cycle and in the breath of the trees.

The family warmly thanks all those who will share this moment in tribute to Mr. Reynald Lucien Asselin.

What is the Second Life Forest?

Take root in your lifetime | Second Life Forest

Ecoforest cemetery

The Forest of the Second Life is a Ecoforest cemetery; an alternative solution to traditional funeral homes that allows you to contribute to the creation of forests, in tribute to the memory of your loved ones and for the benefit of future generations.

Unique concept in Quebec

We are up to date The only location in Quebec, among all those who have the necessary authorizations for the burial of the ashes, to have added to our project a forest conservation easement to ensure, forever, the preservation and protection of the forest.

Future generations

Our alternative funeral services allow you to pay tribute to your deceased by allowing them to dedicate their second life to the benefit of the next generations. The reforestation initiative The Second Life Forest makes it possible to capture up to 175 tons of carbon from the atmosphere each year.
