It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Véronique Ducharme, which occurred on September 6, 2025.
She has had a profound impact on the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her, through her joy of life, her smile, her perseverance, her resilience, her generosity and her ability to light up the darkest days.
Véronique is survived by her husband Yves-Paul Kodsi, her beloved children, Mélyna and Vincent (Juliette), her sisters, Patricia (Luc) and Mélanie, her parents Jeanine and Fernand as well as her numerous nephews and nieces, her extended family, her extended family, her faithful friends, and all those whose lives she touched through her luminous presence.
His departure creates a huge void, but his memory will continue to live on in our hearts, with tenderness and gratitude.
The family will welcome family and friends to the Second Life Forest Cemetery
835 Chemin de l'Achigan Est, Sainte-Sophie, J5J 2P9, September 26, 2025, at 10:30am. A tribute will be paid to him at 11:30am, at the same place.
On this occasion, a Ginkgo biloba will be rooted in his honor. Symbol of longevity and resilience, this ancient tree, often called the “tree of life”, will perpetuate the memory of Véronique in the heart of the forest.
In this magnificent place, where nature soothes and comforts, his memory will remain alive through the seasons, in the quiet strength of the trees and the beauty of this timeless landscape.

The Forest of the Second Life is a Ecoforest cemetery; an alternative solution to traditional funeral homes that allows you to contribute to the creation of forests, in tribute to the memory of your loved ones and for the benefit of future generations.
We are up to date The only location in Quebec, among all those who have the necessary authorizations for the burial of the ashes, to have added to our project a forest conservation easement to ensure, forever, the preservation and protection of the forest.
Our alternative funeral services allow you to pay tribute to your deceased by allowing them to dedicate their second life to the benefit of the next generations. The reforestation initiative The Second Life Forest makes it possible to capture up to 175 tons of carbon from the atmosphere each year.
